OUR STORY
BC TIGERS SPORTS CLUB (formerly Punjab Tigers Sports Club ) is the fastest growing summers sports club in Metro Vancouver with SOCCER, TRACK AND FIELD, VOLLEYBALL, BHANGARA, KABBADI, and WELLNESS programs for everyone from 5 years to over 40.
The Club fosters, promotes and advances the cause of youth through development of physical fitness, fundamental skills, equal emphasis on good sportsmanship, building lasting friendships, and the sheer fun of participation. Our ultimate goal is to continue to expand active programs within our community to serve as many youth and adults as possible who want to take part in a variety of participative programs by providing quality training and equipment, without prejudice.
Our administrators and coaches are all VOLUNTEERS.
The Club is affiliated with United Surrey Soccer League (USSL) providing all children an opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer in a safe, fair and fun environment, while learning new team skills.
Athlete Centred, Coach Driven, Parent Supported and Community Focused make BC TIGERS SPORTS CLUB the number one choice in the community.
THE BEGINNING
In 1998 Punjab Tigers Sports Club was started by a group of members of Indo Canadian community including Amritpal S. Atwal (Palla), Kanwaljit S. Somal, Ajinderpal S. Mangat (Neetu), and Harkeerat S. Kular. Based in Surrey, British Columbia Canada the club was established with a vision to provide young sportsperson with many opportunities to play soccer. The growth has taken Punjab Tigers Sports Club to over 500 members and hosting a major Indoor Soccer Tournament. In September 2009 the Club changed its name to BC TIGERS SPORTS CLUB to allow for diversity and broadband its efforts to intergrate into other communities.
